Our first stop for the night. Flathead Mick knew this nice old bed and breakfast in Goderville close to the Normandy coast. Allthough it had twenty rooms or so, it was full when we arrived. We sweettalked the owner in our best French and after making phonecalls for us and finding out all near hotels were full too, the guy decided to let us sleep in the tv room. 'I only do it because you are Americans, he said. Real nice guy! The people in Normandy love the Americans for what they did for them in the war.
