The most important thing when changing the looks of a stock Softail is lowering the damn thing! A Softailframe looks a lot like a hardtail but from factory it still sits way too high from the ground. Stock panheads were much lower, like 10cm or four inches off the ground. So this is the first thing you do when you want to have yer Softy look better. Then is time for mounting the fender on the swingarm instead of on the frame and changing the stock fatbobs tanks for tank with a chopper or frisco look. On photo a prime and still rather simple example. If ya wanna go Bobber, keep the stock fat gastank. Next week some examples of cool Softail Bobbers.
