Several of our members have crossed deserts on choppers in the US, it can be pretty bizarre. Early starts, six in the morning, thicker oil, lots of water and a run from one airco gasstation to the other.

Desert riding

Nevada: Lots of strong and warm sidewinds, dry eye lids and lips, no other roadcompany than you and yer bros, hardly any towns, weird for a Dutch guy. Good we have friends to visit along the road who have beerfrosties in the fridge and airco in the clubhouse.

Chopper History

This awesome photo is taken more than 40 years ago. We see Dutch Hells Rats on their homebuilt choppers. The club does not exist any more but some HR members joined PB Leeuwarden.
